TrvlAtlas was more than a business idea, it came from our family, our love for the outdoors, and the belief that travel has the power to transform how we see the world. Adventure has always been part of our story, whether it’s hiking in Africa, jungles of Borneo, rice fields of Bali, sharing meals in Northern Finland, or simply pausing to watch the dramatic scenery of Milford Sound with those we love. Travel reminds us to slow down, to connect, and to care.
Like many ideas, TrvlAtlas began as a simple question: what if travellers could find the most genuine experiences in one place, without being lost in a sea of generic tours?
The large platforms list thousands of options, but often leave small, boutique operators hidden beneath the noise. These are the businesses with the richest stories to tell, family-owned tour companies, wellness hosts grounded in centuries of local tradition, and adventure guides who know every bend of the river.
We wanted to create a home for them.
At TrvlAtlas, we see ourselves as storytellers as much as curators. Each experience on our platform is hand-selected and re-told with care, so travellers know not just what they’ll do, but why it matters. The spark also came from watching the next generation around us step forward, often breaking from convention to lead in new, unexpected ways.
