About The Host

Rosco's Milford Kayaks

Rosco's Milford Kayaks

Founded by Milford Sound local Rosco, often referred to as the “Mayor of Milford”, this experience is rooted in decades of deep connection to one of New Zealand’s most extraordinary landscapes. What began in 1988 as a personal kayaking journey along the remote Fiordland coast, accompanied by a pod of bottlenose dolphins, has evolved into New Zealand’s longest-running owner-operated sea kayaking operation. Today, Rosco and his small team of expert local guides offer intimate, small-group experiences on the water, combining technical expertise with rich local knowledge. Their approach is simple: keep groups small, experiences authentic, and the focus on safely sharing the raw, untouched beauty of Milford Sound with those willing to explore it differently.
